McCallum Lane

This project involves the construction of a four-storey, 28-apartment complex with basement parking, comprising one-bedroom apartments through to luxury penthouse apartments on the top floor. The complex is approximately 8,500 m2 in total area, predominantly built from traditional materials such as external blockwork walls, textured finishes, and metal deck roofing. The balconies feature full-height glazed windows with timber floor coverings, making the most of the river views.

 

After the tender, Pyramid was placed in preferred builder status and worked with the client and design team for three months to reduce construction costs by approximately 15%. Due to the high water table and the potential high cost of dewatering over an extended period, the foundation design was reviewed and changed to a piled option. This reduced time and costs.
